Imagination of Sound

Making music doesn't work without imagination of sound. Usually your imagination of sound is ahead of your playing, you hear the music in your head but can't make it sound like that on the instrument. That shouldn't stop you from experimenting with sounds on your instrument, you might just find sounds that you couldn't imagine before.

* Can I sing a melody or frase from using the imagination of sound in my head?

* If I play a note, melody or frase, can I put in different emotions such as, happy, sad, dramatic, shy, angry or energetic?

* Do I see, hear and feel tension and relaxation in notes and frases?

* Can I give notes or frases different shapes and/or directions?

* How can I play longer lines and make better frames?

* Can I "look ahead" in music and see important notes/chords coming?
